Join us for a sweet summer morning of creativity and community at the farm as we host our first-ever Blooms & Buttercream Gathering!
If you enjoy baking for friends and family, are a professional pastry chef, or would like to pick up a cake from your local baker (not grocery), we invite you to bring a cake creation to share!
Sweet, quirky, elegant - classic favorites or creative showstoppers, all cakes 6 inches and larger are welcome (no grocery store purchased sheet cakes allowed).
Dress in your most festive picnic attire, bring your camera and a blanket or chair to enjoy the cake, flowers and live music!
Here's how it works:
- No cake, no entry! To taste the cakes, you must bring a cake or purchase a Cake Taster Ticket. (If a spouse, child or friend would like to attend with you, they must either bring a cake or purchase a $5 entry ticket).
- Check-in with your cake at 10am.
- Once all cakes are in place on the display table, we will admire and take photos of the beautiful cakes displayed and share in what makes them special - your hard work wont go unnoticed!
After we are done celebrating the works of art, Two Bees staff will cut into the cakes and you'll receive a box to collect slices of cake in their to-go containers to enjoy.
Then what?
- Let's eat cake! A fork will be provided.
- Grab beverage from Bizzy Bean Coffee Bus.
- Bring a chair or blanket.
- Pick your own flowers.
- Listen to the live music.
- Outdoor games, take a walk, see the bees and ducks.
All cake entries must bring:
- A cake plate to display your cake on.
- A knife to cut your cake with.
- A sign that showcases your special cake.
- Full list of ingredients so attendees with food allergies or sensitivities can make informed choices.
There are 4 ticket options for this event:
- Cake Baker (includes cake tastings and a You-Pick Experience $30 value)
- Cake Taster (does not include a You-Pick Experience)
- Kid Taster (ages 5-12, children under 5 are free but do not get a taster box)
- General Admission (no tasting or flower picking)
The Cake Baker Ticket includes ($35.00):
- General Admission to Two Bees & A Bud
- Entry to the Cake Picnic with your cake
- One take home cake box and a fork
- Access to all cakes for taking samples home
- A You-Pick flower experience
The Cake Taster Ticket includes ($25.00 ages 13+):
- General Admission to Two Bees & A Bud
- Entry to the Cake Picnic
- One take home cake box and a fork
- Access to all cakes for taking samples home
Kid Taster Ticket includes ($15.00 ages 5-12):
- General Admission to Two Bees & A Bud
- Entry to the Cake Picnic
- 2 pieces of cake, a box and fork
General Admission includes ($5):
- General admission to Two Bees & A Bud (ages 12 and under free)
- Observation only
- You-Pick tickets available for purchase.
Good to note:
It is NOT one cake per family. If you are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, and want to bring a cake - you would purchase one Baker ticket for yourself, and 3 general admission for the rest of your family unless they all want to have their own tasting box.
** This gathering will be held inside the Flower Barn if weather is not cooperating.
Taster tickets will go on sale once we know how many Cake Bakers are attending.
Space is limited for bakers and tasters.
