There is something pretty incredible about standing in a field of flowers with a hot air balloon rising right beside you!
We invite you to spend an early fall evening with us at Two Bees & A Bud for Hot Air Balloons & Blooms—an evening of flowers, live music, food, picnics and the chance to experience the beauty of hot air balloons right here on our flower farm.
Bring your family, meet up with friends or make it a date night. Wander the farm, listen to live music, grab something to eat, pick a bouquet if you'd like, and watch as 3–4 hot air balloons inflate in the flower fields.
Entry Ticket Includes
Your admission gives you access to the farm and evening festivities, including:
- Entrance to the farm, grounds and outdoor games
- The opportunity to see 3–4 hot air balloons up close in our flower fields
- Live music
- Access to our limited picnic areas, available first come, first served
- Plenty of space to bring your own chairs or picnic blanket and enjoy the evening
Food will also be available for purchase.
Flower picking and tethered balloon rides are optional experiences and are purchased separately.

Early Bird Tickets — $8 per person

Ages 8 and under are free.
September 20 through Event Day — $13 per person
Ages 8 and under are free.
Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
We accept cash or Venmo for admission at the door.
Tethered Hot Air Balloon Rides
Weather permitting, tethered hot air balloon rides will be available for:
$20 per person
Tethered ride tickets are purchased directly from the balloon operators when you get in line for the ride. Two Bees & A Bud does not collect payment for balloon rides.
A Note About Hot Air Balloons & Weather
Hot air balloons are completely dependent on weather conditions. Rain, wind or other conditions may delay inflation or prevent the balloons from inflating or offering tethered rides.
While we would love to guarantee balloons in the sky, Mother Nature gets the final say.
If conditions prevent the balloons from inflating, the balloon crews may still be able to offer guests the chance to step inside a basket and fire up the burners—a pretty thrilling experience for both kids and adults! There is no additional charge for this experience.
Add a You-Pick Flower Experience
While you're here, you can also pick a lush fresh flower bouquet.
You-Pick Flower Experience — $25 per person
Pay in the Flower Barn when you're ready to pick. We'll loan you a pair of snips and a pitcher with water to carry through the field. When you're finished, we'll provide a jar with water so you can take your flowers home and enjoy them.
Flower picking is completely optional—you are welcome to simply come and enjoy the evening.

Where is Hot Air Balloons & Blooms held?
Hot Air Balloons & Blooms is held at Two Bees & A Bud Flower Farm in New Richmond, Wisconsin, just a short drive from the Twin Cities and communities throughout the St. Croix Valley.
Are hot air balloon rides included with admission?
No. Your admission includes entrance to the farm, live music and the opportunity to see 3–4 hot air balloons up close in our flower fields.
Weather permitting, tethered hot air balloon rides are $20 per person and are paid directly to the balloon operators when you get in line to ride.
What is a tethered hot air balloon ride?
A tethered ride gives you the experience of lifting off the ground in a real hot air balloon while the balloon remains securely tethered. These are short rides rather than flights and are a fun way to experience a hot air balloon without going on a full balloon flight - and the view is incredible!!
Will the hot air balloons definitely inflate?
We wish we could guarantee it, but hot air balloons are very dependent on weather. Wind, rain and other conditions can delay inflation or prevent the balloons from safely inflating or offering tethered rides.
The balloon pilots make the final decision based on conditions that evening. Mother Nature gets the final say!
What happens if it's too windy for the balloons to fly?
If weather conditions prevent tethered rides, the balloon crews may still be able to offer guests the chance to step inside a balloon basket and fire up the burners. It's a pretty exciting experience for kids and adults, and there is no additional charge.
Is this event good for children?
Absolutely. Hot Air Balloons & Blooms is a family-friendly event, and children ages 8 and under receive free admission. There is plenty to see and explore around the farm even if your family chooses not to purchase a balloon ride or pick flowers.
Do I have to pick flowers?
Not at all. Flower picking is completely optional.
If you'd like to add the You-Pick Flower Experience, it is $25 per person and can be purchased in the Flower Barn when you're ready to pick. We'll provide snips, a picking pitcher and a jar with water to take your bouquet home.
Will there be food available?
Yes. Table 65 Bistro will have food available for purchase during the event. You are also welcome to bring your own picnic.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes. You're welcome to bring a picnic and find a place to settle in for the evening. Food will also be available for purchase from Table 65 Bistro.
Is there a restroom on site?
Yes. We have a very nice porta potty.
What should I wear?
This is a working flower farm, so comfortable shoes are always a good idea. September evenings can also cool down quickly near sunset, so you may want to bring an extra layer.
What time should we arrive?
The event runs from 5:00–7:30pm. The balloons can only inflate once the wind dies down closer to sunset. So come at 5pm, pick flowers, eat, enjoy outdoor games and relax while we wait for the balloons to do their thing!
Can we bring our pet?
While we love animals, please leave pets at home.
Refund/Cancellation Policy:
- Keep your order number handy. You will need it to check in.
- Tickets are non-refundable but they are transferrable.
- Ballooning is highly weather dependant. If there is weather that is unfavorable for the balloons or balloon baskets to be outside, or in the case of unforeseen circumstances, the event will be cancelled and tickets will be refunded the full amount.
